Community

MEGA Music Entertainment LLC (the site you are currently on) has a sibling called the MEGA Music Foundation, a charitable 501 C 3 nonprofit.

Some people are confused about the MEGA Music Family. Please don’t be confused! Let me explain. Meagan Hope (co-owner) of MEGA Music Entertainment had a vision at the end of her college education to start two professional music businesses. One business offers different music entertainment and event services on a VERY professional level. She also wanted to give back to the community and educate young people about music and the music industry. She soon learned that music is a powerful resource to help young people build self esteem and the foundation offers many esteem building programs for Oregon and Washington youth. Unfortunately, some musicians or people in the music business are known as flakes, sharks, spacey, jerks, greedy, disorganized, unprofessional, creative snobs, control freaks, and the list goes on and I think you get the picture. Meagan and Simon have set a new standard for professionalism by providing you with the highest quality of service, equipment, cleanliness, etiquette, organization and personal experience. We want to do our part and help the next generation of young people how to be a successful part of society.

The heart and soul of the MEGA Music family and where “MEGA Music” began was in 2004 when Meagan Hope founded the MEGA Music Foundation in her last year of college. The MEGA Music Foundation, a 501 C 3 charitable nonprofit educates young people about music and also uses the application of music that ignites the flame inside the soul to build self-esteem. This foundation offers workshops, camps, scholarships, mentorships, and more. When you hire MEGA Music Entertainment 10% of the funds go to the MEGA Music Foundation, a 100% charitable nonprofit. Also, 100% of the monies given to the Foundation go directly to the programs, as the staff is comprised of all volunteers! When you hire MEGA Music Entertainment you are also contributing to our COMMUNITY!

Simon and Meagan both are active in the community. Meagan was the original director for the popular Portland Teen Idol program through Portland Parks and Recreation in 2007 & 2008 and Simon was the sound technician. Meagan volunteers for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and helps teens living with IBD. We feel as a business it is our duty to be involved.

Our monetary efforts in the community also go beyond the MEGA Music Foundation as we love to help other community organizations too. We will give a discount to other 501 C 3 charitable nonprofits for our services.*

MEGA Music is going green

How do you feel about sustainability and “going green?” MEGA Music Entertainment is now a “green company.” Green is healthy, and green is better. By purchasing long lasting products and fixing our equipment instead of throwing it away if it breaks, we eliminate electronic waste in our landfills. All our office supplies are recycled and green & sustainable. We use fuel-efficient cars; we can recommend some great green products for your event (very trendy in Portland and Seattle). We help you eliminate waste and also have creative ideas about recycling and re-using at your event or wedding. If you are earth conscious it is fun and rewarding to incorporate “green/sustainability into your event or wedding. We also can plan “green” events and weddings from beginning to end.

The MEGA Music Foundation

The MEGA Music Foundation is a 501 C 3 charitable nonprofit here to create a safe and positive environment for young people to perform and create music. Many other organizations like this exist, however it is hard for these schools, nonprofits, and other organizations to keep up with the demand. It is so important for us all to unite and provide more places for young people to be creative and teach them the skills to become successful adults.
