MEGA Music Entertainment is owned and operated by Simon Blanco and Meagan Hope and provides excellent services such as professional Deejay (DJ) services, Emcee (MC, Master of Ceremonies) services, live music booking, and event planning in Portland, OR, Vancouver, WA and surrounding areas. Simon is a professional DJ and sound technician with a background in theatre, music and business. Meagan is a professional emcee with on camera and live experience and speaks from small to very large-scale audiences. Meagan is also an event planner and booking agent and can help you save hundreds if not thousands of dollars on your event or wedding and still fulfill your “Cinderella Fantasy.”

Meagan has an education in music industry and recognized that this education could take her in various directions and has enjoyed many different experiences such as starting a nonprofit music foundation at the age of 22 to starting another for profit business at the age of 23 and working on many event productions and music industry related projects over the past seven years. Meagan ultimately wanted to be able to explore all sides of the music business. She has experience in event planning, wedding planning, nonprofit start-up and development, concert management, nightclub industry, artist management, music mentorship, songwriting, vocal performance and event production. Rest assured that she will cover every detail down to the lint that’s stuck on your dress!

Simon Blanco previously owned a successful production company called Different Kidz Productions. He was also a popular resident DJ at the Ohm Night Club (old Key Largo, now the Whiskey). Simon has been a DJ for 9 years. After spending time as DJ, Simon also pursued a Professional Music Certificate and is an incredible sound technician with a great “ear” as they call it in the music business. Simon works wonderfully with brides, grooms, corporate events planners, and all our unique customers. He is also great at high school events, as he has mentored hundreds of teens for over 10 years.

MEGA Music Entertainment was created in 2005 and we make ALL music sound AMAZING at your event. Simon IS NO LONGER a club DJ but rather an event music entertainer, so you don’t have to worry that your event is going to sound like a nightclub! However, if you want him to spin vinyl records or CD turntables to give your event a nightlife party atmosphere, he can do it, where as many professional DJ companies cannot spin records! Simon is known for his professionalism, kindness, outgoing personality, and level headedness. He will make you feel completely at ease at your event, his calm demeanor tends to rub off on you, so you and all your guests can completely enjoy your event WORRY FREE! Meagan is a music buff, and it’s pretty hard to stump her about songs, musicians, and music trivia. This is a great quality to have at your event because she can relate to everyone’s musical taste from the “Hokey Pokey” for the kidlet’s to Stevie’s “Higher Ground” and bands such as Pink Martini and Weezer to artists like Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus.

Simon and Meagan not only have a successful business but also a very successful relationship. While working together they fell in love and compliment one another like peanut butter and jelly!
